Safety Tips for Families

 We’ve put together lists of safety tips you may find useful.

Bike Safety:​

Bike safety education helps children and families learn the importance of riding safely and responsibly. Key topics include wearing appropriate safety gear, following traffic laws, staying aware of surroundings, and practicing safe, respectful riding habits. These lessons encourage injury prevention and help build confidence while promoting safe biking throughout the community.

Water Safety:​

Water safety education helps children and families understand how to prevent drowning and stay safe around pools, lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water. Key topics include active adult supervision, using multiple layers of protection such as barriers and life jackets, teaching water safety skills, and being prepared for emergencies. These practices help reduce the risk of drowning and promote safe, enjoyable experiences around water.

Safety Tips Dos and Don'ts:​

Outdoor safety education helps children and families learn how to make safe choices while playing and spending time outside. Key topics include personal safety, road and bike safety, water safety, and healthy outdoor habits such as staying hydrated, wearing sunscreen, and being aware of environmental hazards. These lessons encourage children to recognize potential risks, practice safe behaviors, and enjoy outdoor activities safely.
